To get there, Neumann engineers rethought the production process for electret-based microphones. Where classic solutions rely on highly integrated designs, Neumann chose a layered structure where every module of the KK 14 is built and designed to deliver the perfect result. The components are then assembled by hand in Germany. This eliminates typical compromises and opens the spectrum for formerly unmatched acoustic qualities. While the titanium housing is one ingredient to a road-tough design, it is also an expression of the inner elegance in design and engineering.

TONAL CONSISTANCY AND ROAD-TOUGH DESIGN

The layered design also delivers a yet unheard level of tonal consistency ‒ every capsule sounds exactly the same. It saves engineers the time needed for basic EQing and delivers consistent sound right from the early soundcheck.

Its modular design also allows for easy replacements. Nine mounting clips allow for reliable positioning on any instrument while staying gentle to every surface. The system connects to all the important wireless systems and includes cable options for a 3.5 mm jack, Lemo, 4-pin mini-XLR, MicroDot, or wired connection.
