Preamp

A pro audio preamp, or preamplifier, is an essential component in sound recording and live audio setups. Its primary function is to amplify low-level audio signals from microphones or instruments to a level suitable for further processing or recording. Preamps often feature adjustable gain, equalization, and sometimes include phantom power for condenser mics. They aim to boost signal strength while maintaining audio integrity, minimizing noise, and providing a clean, high-fidelity output for mixing consoles or digital audio workstations.
