White Oak Music Hall Houston Texas

White Oak Music Hall (WOMH) is a premier live music venue located just north of downtown Houston, Texas. Spanning five acres, this expansive complex features three distinct stages: two indoor performance halls and an outdoor amphitheater known as The Lawn. Since its opening in 2016, WOMH has become a cornerstone of Houston's vibrant music scene, hosting a diverse array of artists and genres.

Venue Background

Designed by the architectural firm SCHAUM/SHIEH, White Oak Music Hall was completed in 2016. The main building houses two performance spaces: WOMH Downstairs, accommodating up to 1,200 attendees, and WOMH Upstairs, offering a more intimate setting for 200 guests. The interiors are thoughtfully designed with cedar slats that not only enhance the acoustics but also provide ambient lighting, creating an inviting atmosphere for concertgoers. citeturn0search7

The outdoor stage, known as The Lawn, boasts a spacious performance area measuring 46.5 feet wide by 38 feet deep, with additional stage wings and a loading dock to facilitate large-scale productions. This setup allows WOMH to host a variety of events, from local shows to major touring acts.

Overnight Delivery

We were excited to get the call to help out with a performance at White Oak just recently. They needed a Whirlwind W1 Mass trunk cable shipped overnight to the venue. As always we sprang into action that day and got the unit packed and shipped out with UPS Next Day Air.

We were happy to assist. We are big indie Music fans after all.

Notable Performances

Over the years, White Oak Music Hall has welcomed an impressive lineup of both major and indie artists. Notable performances include:

  • Tame Impala: The Australian psychedelic rock band delivered a memorable performance that captivated the audience.
  • Explosions in the Sky: The instrumental rock band graced The Lawn with their atmospheric soundscapes.
  • Ghostland Observatory: Known for their energetic shows, they electrified the crowd with their unique blend of electronica and rock.
  • The Black Angels: This Austin-based band brought their neo-psychedelic sounds to WOMH's indoor stage.

In addition to these acts, WOMH has been a platform for numerous indie and emerging artists, fostering a dynamic and inclusive music community.
